MP visits hard-working posties

COLCHESTER’S MP visited the town’s post delivery office to encouragement at their busiest time of year.

Sir Bob Russell was shown round the Royal Mail office in Moorside by manager Darren Grub and introduced to all the postmen and women who are working hard to sort and deliver all the cards and parcels in the area in the run-up to Christmas.

  • The recommended last posting dates for first class mail is Thursday December 20, while special delivery items should be posted by Saturday December 22.

Working hard so he goes and bothers them. Posties arent the only workforce working hard at Christmas time. Is he visiting all the Supermarket staff, Hospitals and Bars and Restaurants to "encourage" them too? Get Councillor Harris in as MP. At least he is pro active in the right way and genuinely cares about the people he represents.

Wasting the time of postal workers, especially at Christmas, should be made a criminal offence to deter attention-seeking self-publicists like Russell.
I know that this is the season of goodwill to all men,but I would like to make an exception in Russell's case.
