Firefighters tackle blaze in Langenhoe

FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing equipment tackled a blaze at a house in Langenhoe this afternoon.

The fire broke out in Mersea Road just after 4pm.

Two units from Colchester fire brigade were sent to the scene.

Officers said the fire started in the lounge.

The blaze was out by 4.45pm. Fire crews used a high-pressure fan to clear smoke from the property.
