A WOMAN driver from the Clacton area has died after apparently losing control of her vehicle at Alresford.
The accident happened on the B1027 at 4.30pm today.
Police said the woman’s blue Toyota RAV4 landed in trees at the side of the road.
A spokesman said: “The 65-year-old woman from the Clacton area was the only occupant in the vehicle.
“She was certified dead at the scene.”
The road was closed for several hours while an investigation into the accident was carried out.
Witnesses are being urged to contact the serious collision investigation unit on 101.
