A woman burst into tears as a court heard she is accused of murdering her partner.
Unemployed Tammy Fletcher wept as the charge against her was read out at yesterday's hearing. The 35-year-old was arrested at the weekend, after the death of Marcus Witham, on Wednesday.
Colchester magistrates heard Mr Witham, 36, was injured during a row at the home the couple shared in Nathan Court, Blackheath, Colchester.
Fletcher entered no plea, and no application for bail was made. Magistrates sent the case to Chelmsford Crown Court.
