Mersea Road safety improvements due within three weeks
9:01am Tuesday 27th November 2012 in News By Will Lodge
SAFETY improvements to a dangerous junction will be completed before Christmas.
Concerns had been raised about Mersea Road, Colchester, on the stretch between the new Praecedo estate and Berechurch Road by residents and councillors.
An Essex County Council spokesman said: "Essex Highways have been working with the developer to add some additional road markings to the area and a new sign will also be installed within the next three weeks to assist drivers who are unfamiliar with the new road layout. In regard to the traffic signals."

Well, that will help won't it! They seem to have failed to understand that the problem is the layout of the junction. It is a disaster waiting to happen. It needs a sensible layout, not yet more markings and signs to confuse and distract people.
