Woman hit by vehicle

A WOMAN has been flown to hospital after she collided with a vehicle.

The pedestrian, who is in her 40s, was hit on East Mersea Road, West Mersea, just after 9am on Monday.

She suffered a head injury in the collision.

The air ambulance landed and took her to Queens Hospital, Romford.

East Mersea Road has been closed at the junction with Dawes Lane.

Perhaps the car was stationary and the woman was blind, explaining who collided with who. Perhaps the car was a toy car and the woman tripped and hurt her head. We don't know. I am sure we will be enlightened in tomorrow's newspaper.

Another classic from the Gazette. Was the woman running and smashed into a static vehicle? Was she texting and distracted so she walked into the vehicle? Was the vehicle damaged? Arrrrggghhhh tell us....!

The Gazette always writes in this way. Maybe they just cut and paste from the police website. Or perhaps the Gazette journalists are supporting the all powerful motoring lobby and blaming pedestrians for accidents which are in almost every case the motorist's fault.

And since the poor woman had to be taken to Queens Hospital Romford, she must have been very seriously injured. Let us hope she makes a full recovery.
