CONCERNS for the safety of holidaymakers were raised after one dinghy capsized and another was found waterlogged.
Members of the West Mersea coastguard rescue team were called after an empty dinghy was spotted ashore at Mersea yesterday morning.
The team concluded it had been abandoned.
The West Mersea RNLI inshore lifeboat was also called after a dinghy capsized on the River Blackwater between Northey and Osea Island.
The occupants managed to save themselves.
