POLICE are searching for a driver who failed to stop after a crash.

A Peugeot 206 van was travelling toward Clacton on Church Road near the A133 junction in Little Bentley at around 6am on Friday when it collided with a dark green Mazda 6 heading in the opposite direction.

The Mazda driver failed to stop and continued heading along Church Road.

The van driver was uninjured but the vehicle was damaged and the road was blocked for a short time.

Any witnesses to the crash or anyone who has any information about the Mazda should call PC Andrew Hughes at Clacton Response and Patrol Unit on 101.
