A VAN driver was punched and had his vehicle stolen by a pair of robbers on Saturday.
The man, in his 30s from Ipswich was driving his Ford Transit Connect on Harwich Road in Colchester when a small Citroen car pulled out of Goring Road and stopped in front of him at approximately 3pm.
Two men then got out the car, punched the victim in the face and pulled him out of the van before stealing the Transit.
The first attacker is described as black, aged 35-40 years old, tall, with a stocky build and short dark hair.
He wore a dark vest with jeans and was the initial driver of the Citroen and drove the victim’s van away after the robbery.
His accomplice was also black, 6ft 10ins tall and of average build.
He wore a dark coloured hooded top with a logo on the front and drove the Citroen away when they left the scene.
Both vehicles were driven towards along Harwich Road, towards Bromley Road.
The victim was uninjured.
