I'm surprised it's taken this long for an accident by First drivers to happen !! Most of their drivers are complete lunatics !! Many a time have I seen them speeding, up on the pavements and braking late in old buses !!!

...or the layout of the stop is such that if you use the ramp the front of the bus overhangs the exit splay just where the shelter has been placed. Driver is looking in his mirror when pulling out and doesn't see the shelter. Not the first incident like this nor will it be the last.

Probably the same driver as was driving the bus as I was on a few days earlier. He was ignorant, over shot every stop to inconvenience people who are paying his salary, left bus stops before very elderly people had a chance to sit down and appeared totally oblivious to what was going on on the road.

No but it's obvious if these buses are old and not as " up to it " as new buses then its the driver's responsibility to drive with more care !

who is responsible for ensuring these buses are roadworthy and who is responsible for ensuring the bus drivers are up to their jobs???Can the bus company be made accountable for their failings? And not all bus drivers are bad. Some are very good and do wait until old/disabled people have sat down before setting off.
