A WOMAN who seriously injured two people after crashing into their car has been spared a driving ban.
Kym Taylor, 57, was given nine penalty points at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Taylor, of Bay Tree Close, Colchester, previously admitted driving without due care and attention.
On July 27 last year, she was driving her Vauxhall Corsa along the A134 in Great Horkesley when she failed to negotiate a right hand bend correctly and lost control of the car.
She crashed head on into a car travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver suffered a broken right foot and back injuries.
One of the passengers had a fractured spine and internal injuries and the other had a fractured spine.
Taylor, who had no endorsements on her licence before the crash, said she was sorry for her actions during the brief court hearing.
She was also ordered to pay a fine, costs and a victim surcharge totalling £220.
