Andrew Crofts and Mark O’Brien are doubts for Newport County’s Emirates FA Cup second round replay against Wrexham on Tuesday.
Both players were forced off with hamstring injuries during a 2-1 League Two defeat at Swindon on Saturday, and look unlikely to recover in time for Wrexham’s visit to Rodney Parade.
County manager Michael Flynn, though, could be boosted by the return of Matty Dolan from injury as both clubs chase the prize of a third round home tie against Premier League Leicester.
And Flynn might be tempted to hand teenage striker Antoine Semenyo a start following an impressive display by the 18-year-old against Swindon.
Wrexham are set to welcome back captain Shaun Pearson, who missed Saturday’s 2-0 National League victory over Eastleigh due to suspension.
In Pearson’s absence, Jake Lawlor and Manny Smith, who returned from injury, formed a solid centre-back combination.
Wrexham caretaker boss Graham Barrow is unlikely to deviate far from the side that accounted for Eastleigh, although he is set to be without Kevin Roberts.
Roberts suffered an ankle injury during the Eastleigh win, and looks a non-starter for the trip to south Wales.
