Ipswich Town will begin their npower Championship season on the road with a long excursion to Middlesbrough on August 7.
Roy Keane's side have been handed the game just days before they will have to travel all the way from Suffolk to Devon to face Exeter City in the Carling Cup first round.
Town's first home game will come on August 14 when they entertain Burnley, who were relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.
A home game against Watford awaits Town fans on Boxing Day this year, while their New Year's Day game is a trip to former Colchester United boss, Aidy Boothroyd's, new side Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena.
