LITTLE Oakley have been handed a plum tie at National League South side Chelmsford City in the FA Cup second qualifying round.

The Acorns will travel to play the Clarets over the weekend of September 17-19, following the draw this lunchtime.

It promises to be a memorable occasion for Matt Carmichael and his players, who booked their place in the next round following a 2-1 victory over Kirkley and Pakefield, last Saturday.

The Essex Senior League side have already made just short of £5k in prize money during their wonderful run in this season's competition.

And now they are set to make more valuable revenue, with Oakley set to reap the benefits of part of the Melbourne Park gate receipts.

Elsewhere in the draw, there is another big Essex derby after Braintree Town were handed a home tie against their National League South rivals Billericay Town.

The two clubs recently played out a 2-2 draw, at New Lodge.
