WEST Mersea's Saskia Clark and sailing partner Hannah Mills are on the verge of Olympic gold.
The pair will win the women's 470 event in Rio - so long as they finish tomorrow's medal race.
Clark, 36, and Mills, 28, hold an unassailable 20-point lead going into the finale, after finishing second and third in today's races.
That means that as long as they avoid disqualification tomorrow, they will strike gold.
The British pair won silver at the London 2012 Games.
