Maldon and Tiptree secured a good win at Romford.
The Jammers ran out 2-0 winners at Ship Lane on Wednesday night in their Ryman League division one north encounter.
Alex Anderson hit the opening goal for the Jammers after 83 minutes.
Nathan Korangten beat a number of defenders with a good run before sliding in Anderson who fired a left-foot shot into the back of the net.
The scored remained the same at half-time but after the break visiting keeper Darren Bechet was called on to make a great save to keep them in front.
But it was Maldon who doubled their advantage when Mason Bloomfield volleyed home on 81 minutes after latching on to Bechet’s long clearance kick.
