Colchester Rugby Club head coach Anthony O’Riordan says his players have already set a high standard.
And after an encouraging display in last week’s London League division one north curtain-raiser against Eton Manor, he is hoping for more of the same at Brentwood.
Colchester were pipped 15-14 by last season’s runners-up but produced a very encouraging performance – something they will be hoping to replicate on their travels down the A12.
“The boys were desperate to get out there and prove a point,” said O’Riordan.
“And although it was desperately disappointing to lose by a point, there were so many positives."
