Former Ipswich Town midfielder Ian Westlake is training with Colchester United.
The Clacton-born player, who has also played for Leeds United, has recently been released by League Two side Wycombe Wanderers.
He is set to play for the U's reserves side tonight in their totesport.com Combination East game against Southend United at Maldon and Tiptree FC's Park Drive (kick-off 7pm).
Colchester will also have four teenage trialists from Premier League and Championship clubs representing them tonight.
Spurs' Academy duo Zaine Francis Angol and Olumide Durojaiye are set to figure, along with Fulham youngster Matthew Reece and fellow striker Jonathan Birbeck, who hails from Leeds United.
