Colchester United manager John Ward has urged his players to build on their spirited performance against Charlton Athletic when they travel to Brisbane Road this afternoon.
The U's are back in npower League One action at Leyton Orient this afternoon, 48 hours after playing out a thrilling 3-3 draw with the Addicks, on New Year's Day.
Colchester know a win would help them crank up the pressure on the teams occupying the automatic promotion places.
Ward said: "It was a massive effort against Charlton and there's a massive togetherness here.
“It was a good way to start the new year but I want us to keep it going.
“We have to keep pushing today."
U's boss Ward could face a number of selection posers this afternoon.
The likes of Lee Beevers, Lloyd James and Matt Heath all came back into Colchester's starting line-up against Charlton and impressed.
However, Marc Tierney and Kem Izzet could be available again for the O's trip, after injury and illness respectively.
"People like Lee Beevers and Lloyd James have been chomping at the bit to play," added Ward, who will be without the suspended David Perkins today.
“They've been knocking on my door letting me know that they're ready.
“They will take some shifting when these other boys come back and that's great for me, because it really strengthens our squad."
