Roy Keane will be in charge when Ipswich Town host Reading on Saturday, according to chief executive Simon Clegg.
The frenzy of speculation surrounding Keane’s position as manager at the club has rumbled on since the weekend.
Owner Marcus Evans has remained tight-lipped and Alan Curbishley is reportedly lined up to take over from Keane.
However, Clegg has moved to quash talk of Keane leaving this week, and reports that the manager and owner are not on speaking terms.
Clegg said: “I’m aware of the media speculation around Roy but the club's stance is the same as it has always been.
“We remain fully behind the manager and he will be in charge as usual against Reading on Saturday."
