Colchester United have accepted an offer from Bristol Rovers for long-serving defender Pat Baldwin.
The 27-year-old former U's skipper spent a month on loan with the Pirates earlier in the season.
Baldwin now has to agree personal terms with Rovers.
Colchester manager Aidy Boothroyd said: "It's on-going.
"Bristol Rovers have made a big effort to get him back and they've made an offer, which has been accepted.
"Now it's a case of Pat and his people talking to Bristol Rovers and sorting it out."
