Magnus Okuonghae has signed an extension to his current contract with Colchester United.
The 23-year-old has been in impressive form for the U's since joining them from Coca-Cola League Two side Dagenham and Redbridge in the summer.
He has been an ever present for Colchester in league and cup, the only player to have started every single game for the club so far this season.
Okuonghae has been skippering the U's ever since club captain Pat Baldwin suffered knee and ankle injuries at Southampton, in September.
Okuonghae's new deal will keep him at the Weston Homes Community Stadium until 2012.
