Colchester United will travel to play Coca-Cola Championship side Preston North End in the third round of the FA Cup.
Aidy Boothroyd's side's reward for beating Hereford United 1-0 yesterday is a trip to Deepdale, at the beginning of next year.
Colchester ran out 3-0 winners the last time they played at the venue.
Teddy Sheringham, Kevin Lisbie and Mark Yeates all scored in that match, in August 2007.
Colchester did the double over the Lilywhites that season, beating them 2-1 in the return match at Layer Road in February 2008, with Scott Vernon and Johnnie Jackson on target.
The U's will travel to Deepdale over the weekend of January 2 and 3.
