THE Essex Rebels have ignited an "exciting new chapter" this season, building on momentum after recent victories.
With three wins from three without a single loss, the women's basketball side remain undefeated, while the men have launched their league campaign.
This season marks a period of renewal for the club, with refreshed rosters and coaching line-ups.
Former Rebels player, Joe Hart, now steers the men's team as their head coach, with fans cheering on at the Essex Sport Arena on the University of Essex’s Colchester Campus.
Joe said: "This year is going to be amazing, both our teams are packed with talent, and we’re 100 per cent gunning for silverware."
The men are preparing for their next home double-header on Saturday, October 25.
Then, they will face last season’s champions, the Reading Rockets, while the women square off with the Caledonia Gladiators.
American basketball stars Quinesha Lockett and Natalie Chou are new faces on the women’s roster, with both athletes already making their mark.
Texas native Natalie was a three-time All-State player at Plano West High School, before spells in the United States, Germany, Australia, Sweden and New Zealand.
Quinesha, 24, captained the Toledo Rockets during her five seasons there before joining Germany’s Rutronik Stars Keltern.
She also helped win the German Basketball Bundesliga title last year as part of Germany’s Rutronik Stars Keltern.
The women aim to surpass last season’s Super League play-off quarter-final finish.
Fans can also look forward to the return of Tom Child after three years away.
Tom previously made a significant impact on the Essex programme, helping lift the Rebels from Division Four to Division One of the National Basketball League.
