JUNIOR volleyball sessions are launching in Colchester, with a chance to learn from top players.

The sessions will take place at the Essex Sport Arena on the University of Essex’s Colchester campus and are open to children aged seven to 15.

Essex Rebels athletes, who play at the top level of the sport, will lead the sessions every Sunday from 9am to 10am.

Alex Chinery, volleyball head coach at the Essex Rebels, said: "Introducing junior volleyball sessions is an important step towards building a long-term fan base in the local area.

"For our athletes, it's also a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community that supports us every week.

"We’re excited to see new faces on court and to help grow the game in Essex."

The sessions cost £5 per week and are open to all abilities, from complete beginners to those with experience at school or in clubs.
