COLCHESTER United were knocked out of the Carabao Cup after losing 1-0 at home to Premier League side Brentford, on Wednesday night.
Keane Lewis-Potter scored the Bees' winner just before half-time in front of a crowd of nearly 7,000 at the JobServe Community Stadium.
The U's were left to rue a missed opportunity late on, with substitute Jack Payne's penalty saved by Brentford goalkeeper, Hakon Valdimarsson.
