COLCHESTER United remain nine points above the League Two relegation zone with 11 games remaining after a 2-0 defeat at Bradford City, on Saturday afternoon.
The U's looked like they were heading for a point at the University of Bradford Stadium, until stoppage-time goals from Andy Cook and substitute Scott Banks sealed the promotion-chasing Bantams' win.
It was a harsh outcome for Colchester, watched from the stands by new head coach Ben Garner who officially takes charge tomorrow.
U's fans have their say on their side's third successive defeat.

Better team for 2/3 of the game but means nothing if you don't take your chances. Didn't look a corner for the 1st goal, but that doesn't excuse the defending. Garner's 1st job is to get us scoring again. Other teams are doing their best to help but we can do this without help.

Great first half and deserved at least a point but not putting away our chances cost us. I felt we were the better side in the first half. How the ref gave a corner to lead to the first goal was beyond me. It seemed to be a skewed shot that missed everyone and, in my opinion, should have been a goal kick to The U's. Gutsy performance but the lack of goals is our problem at the minute

Played very well. Liked Jay and Chilvers further forward &close to the striker as one of them was always available. Difference is that Bradford have a goal scorer. A lot of good performances but Read & Ashley stood out in midfield. Harsh result but paid for missing chances again.

Agree it wasn’t a corner. My first game since Newport away and a completely different performance and feeling about the team. Made them look very ordinary. Onwards and upwards!

Hard one to take by far the better team just did not take our chances again we really need a goal scorer!. Still worth the 8 hour round trip

We need an Andy Cook as we have gone the whole season without a natural striker. We played really well though apart the ET defensively. Probably the best I’ve seen us. Concerned with Juniors self discipline. Will hurt us one day. Need some goals for confidence

Think I'm still in disbelief at that last few minutes. We did not deserve to lose that game at all, some good football at times and the better team.
Jeff Coates
Still can't defend corners. Still can't score goals.
Jamie
Gutted we should’ve been more clinical but wasn’t a corner for there first goal

I still say chilvers is the weak link. Good but gives the ball away don't tackle.

Playing well and losing and conceding late goals are both signs of an underperforming team. Badly need a new manager bounce….

Sh**e, concede in injury time is awful Si Collinson One of those, the game was almost over, we were happy with a point and shut up shop to see the game out and yet another poor officiating decision snowballed. Harsh to lose as a draw was about right.
