COLCHESTER United were beaten 1-0 at promotion-chasing Bristol Rovers, on Tuesday night.

Elliot Anderson's excellent finish just after half-time proved the difference between the two teams, at the Memorial Stadium.

The result leaves Colchester eight points above the League Two relegation zone, with nine matches remaining.

U's fans have their say on their team's result and performance, against the Gas.

Didn't deserve to lose tonight deserved at least a point out of that but same old stuff tactics were poor left it far too late with the subs once again not enough pressing the ball backed away far too easy and one defensive mistake costs us we know we can be better then this

Bigger picture - positives still not In bottom two as results go our way. How long is a piece of string? Eventually the string will disappear! The formation and tactics are virtually the same week in week out. Cowling continues to ride his luck. Lady Luck runs out one day!

Felt we looked much better with the partnership of Eastman and Chambers at the back. Going forward just lacking at times in the final third or doing to much instead of simple balls. Should have got a point. Need to play two up top from the start.

Changes made far too late. Missed an opportunity to pick up a decent point on the road. So often huge spaces left for opposition wingers to attack, maybe because U's don't keep enough defenders occupied with one isolated player up the top.

Can't believe we only played one up front, why does he do this. Good to see Eastman back again, took too long to make a change, don't understand why he took off Skuse

Should’ve made subs earlier. We work better with 2 strikers and that shows why we need a proper manager. We move onto fgr

Jamie Hudson

1 up top again, has never worked and once again didn’t work today, 76 mins to bring on another striker is baffling.

Decent performance overall against a good team. Let down by poor decision making and lack of quality service from wide. Agree with the consensus that the changes were made too late.Would love to see 2 up front & really go at Forest Green in front of a big crowd, but can't see it.

We done ok against an in form Bristol Rovers team, feel he could of changed it earlier, other results went our way. Onward to next Monday.
