COLCHESTER United were held to a 2-2 draw by Leyton Orient, on Tuesday night.

The U's looked like they were heading for a precious win, after two goals in four minutes from Myles Kenlock and Owura Edwards had cancelled out Ruel Sotiriou’s emphatic opener for the visitors.

However, Ethan Coleman struck an equaliser for the O's in the third minute of stoppage-time, to deny Colchester victory.

U's fans have their say on the draw at a rain-sodden JobServe Community Stadium.

Once again we didn’t do enough against a very poor side! That should have been 3 easy points but again we had to chase the game! WB has had his time, the recruitment process should have started months ago! Cowlings philosophy has to change but we all know that’ll never happen! Too many long balls tonight too! When we kept the ball down we looked so much better!

Another lead thrown away, chairman still refusing to make the right decisions for this club in a proper manager and to remove the Director of Football, doesn’t seem to matter this club getting relegated as long as his mates still have the job and his failing philosophy carries on

Such a shambles of game management. Poor tactics and very little to cheer about. We need an experienced manager now. Wayne Brown is very close to ruining his legacy at the Club.

Players don’t give a monkeys, the out of depth management don’t give a monkeys, chairman doesn’t give a monkeys. We need YOU to hold cowling accountable. We need to know what’s happening with the manager for a start. Something has to change. We may as well just put a Colchester Utd side in the Essex Senior league next season, ground share with a club for a while, maybe wivenhoe if they’ll have us. Give the fans a club everyone cares about from top to bottom

Another 2 points dropped. These are the games we needed to be winning as the run in is tough. Just as with Saturday our ‘interim manager’ hasn’t got what it takes to win games of football. He needed to go before tonight, needs to go before Saturday, will it happen? Probably not. We conceded twice to a team that had barely scored in the last couple of MONTHS let alone matches; but yet again our best defender not even in the squad. You won’t win many games of football if you have to score 3 to win them.

Brown Legacy nearly gone, club doesn’t care about the fans and media close to the club is too scared to put the fans views across in fear of king Robbie closing access, it’s a never ending roundabout and I think I speak for all colu fans when I say we’re ready to get off now

Herbie

Good squad on paper but just not good enough when it matters. Good fight shown to come back but then completely let themselves down by conceding at the death. Should have had the game won by then with the chances we had but same mistakes made as in previous games.

Very poor against a very poor side. If Orient weren’t terrible themselves & low on confidence it’d have been far worse. Not too bad going forward I’ll admit but we cannot defend or manage a game through til the end when in front. Silly free kick to give away in stoppage time. Also it’s past time we hired a proper permanent manager. Brown is clearly not the man for the job & someone with football league experience is so obviously needed, & soon.

Chris

Wayne unfortunately is done. Why o why did Kenlock give away a cheap free kick. Text book

If we go down, dropping points like we did tonight will be to blame. Orient are poor, but our players cannot do the basics right, are spineless and clearly lacking motivation. It just feels like a reset to the Mullins days. If we stay up it will be on luck. Need managerial change

Thom

When you leave out your most talented player (Wiredu) and your most consistent (Eastman) out of the squad entirely, you’re asking for trouble. The either/or approach to Akinde and Sears also baffling. Coxe and Edwards deserve commending though.

That's me done now. If the players can't be bothered, why should I? Someone with chronic diarrhoea could hold on longer than ColU could with a lead. A farce from top to bottom and never learning from our mistakes. Deserve to be relegated & consigned to the doldrums of non league

Steve Wright

2 points dropped against a poor Orient side. The question I would like you to ask the chairman is how are the interviews going for the full time managers job. The interim period seems to be going on for far too long. Cowling must appoint an experienced manager before the weekend

Gazette:

Jake Atkins

chairman doesn't care, we have a manager with no real experience and it looks like we're going down

K

Definition of insanity. Yep results haven’t changed yet Cowling is blind to reality. Continues with this idiotic policy of hiring ‘supply teachers’. The man will never learn or admit defeat.

David Clayton

Weak. Pathetic. No character. No desire. No system. On a scale of expectation vs reality Alan Judge is perhaps the worst signing in the club's history. Said it last time, & it pains me to do so, but these players are not worthy of support. RC refusal to act is taking us down.

Absolutely disgraceful brown should’ve been gone weeks ago that’s the point of an interim manager. And all the players on the pitch aren’t playing for the club they’re playing for a pay check. RIP Col U - Killed by cowling and his incompetence

Freddie Emerson

The players literally can’t be bothered. Im sick of it. If u can’t defend how on earth are you going to win games if football. Think that’s us down. Cowling has well and truly ruined this club. Steve balls recruited is nothing short of an embarrassment
