COLCHESTER United travel to play League Two leaders Forest Green Rovers tonight.

The U's visit the Fully Charged New Lawn lying three points above the League Two relegation zone, with both teams needing points for different reasons.

U's team news

Colchester United boss Hayden Mullins could hand a debut to new signing Corie Andrews tonight.

The forward joined the U's on loan from AFC Wimbledon last week and was in line to start against Rochdale at the weekend, before the game was called off.

Charlie Daniels (Covid) and Noah Chilvers (shoulder) were both named on the bench for that match and are likely to be in the squad, along with new signing Tom Dallison.

But Frank Nouble and Ryan Clampin (both knee), Shamal George (ribs) and Miles Welch-Hayes are all still sidelined.

Predicted line-ups

Colchester United: Turner, Tchamadeu, Eastman, Chambers, Smith, Coxe, Skuse, Wiredu, Judge, Andrews, Sears

Forest Green Rovers: McGee, Moore-Taylor, Cargill, Bernard, Cadden, Stevenson, Wilson, Diallo, Matt, Aitchison, March

Gazette:

Colchester boss Hayden Mullins (pictured above) on the Forest Green game:

“We’ve got to go away from home again on a longish journey and get a result.

“It’s a tough game but we’ve done OK in the games which are supposed to be tough.

“We played Exeter here when they were on the back of a 20-game unbeaten run and Harrogate, who were second when they came here and Newport, so we’ve come up against some good sides.

“We’re looking forward to the game and we’ll prepare well.

“We’ve got to make those chances count.

“Those little moments we’ve got to make count and put some pressure on the opposition, in terms of knowing that if they’re going to go forward, we can hit them where it hurts and get a couple of goals ourselves.

“We’ve got to start scoring and putting one or two of those chances away and start getting to where we want to be."

Familiar faces

Colchester will come up against their former midfielder Ben Stevenson (pictured below) tonight for the first time since he left the JobServe Community Stadium for Rovers, last summer.
