BRAINTREE Town have further bolstered their squad with the addition of two new signings.

Midfielder Gabriel Piorkowski has joined them on a permanent basis.

He has previously played for Hayes and Yeading, Staines Town and Norwood

Braintree have also signed Bosnian-Herzegavinan-born defender Mack Misken.

The 20-year-old also previously played for Staines Town and Norwood.

The pair both played for Braintree in recent end-of-season friendlies, as manager Ryan Maxwell continues to add to his National League South side for next season.

The Iron last week also confirmed the signings of Luke Pennell, Ezra Ikebuasi, Anderson Pinto and Jay Porter, ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Pennell, 25, was previously with Dagenham and Redbridge and Gloucester City while fellow defender Ikebuasi has also signed.

The 21-year-old, who was born in Nigeria, was at Leatherhead FC last season.

Pinto, 27, is a Portugal-born midfielder who previously played in Hertfordshire with Cheshunt and Royston Town.

Braintree have also snapped up full-back Porter, who was previously with Margate, Enfield and Hornchurch.

Meanwhile, Braintree have also re-signed former Bishop's Stortford winger Correy Davidson.

He is the first Braintree player to be announced as staying from last season.

Davidson joined the Iron halfway through the 2020/21 season and made an instant impact, scoring on his debut.

Writing on his Twitter account, he said: "Absolutely delighted to be remaining as a braintree player. Really looking forward to the season."

Maxwell has already been busy reshaping his squad, as he looks to guide Braintree towards the right end of the table following a season spent near the wrong end, last time around.

With last season's captain Matt Johnson and also defender Kyran Clements having put pen to paper late last week, boss Maxwell is well on his way to building a new-look squad for the August 14 kick off.
