Colchester United fans give their views on the 3-0 defeat at Forest Green Rovers, on Saturday night.

Veteran poacher

Against 10 men lol and still conceded another goal!

Steve Duckling

Normally when a club has a change in management it brings a reaction from the players, unfortunately we didn’t see that against FGR.

We didn’t manage a single shot on target and our inability to score many goals of late is a concern.

If we get relegated I can’t see us coming straight back up. Worrying times ahead for all fans.

Duncan Stonehouse

In these days of lockdowns and talk of mental health etc I’ve got a great tip for #colu fans; don’t expect your team to cheer you up after a s**t week, if anything, you’ll just feel a hell of lot worse about 5 mins into the game when you realise it’s the same if not worse than b4.

adamwalker cufc

Nothings changed at all. No passion, no fight, nothing. We deserve to get relegated with the attitude these players and staff have. There is no ambition at all from us.

malachi

We all knew it would be a tough game but was at least expecting a reaction now that Wayne brown come in the players don’t care and it is getting worse and worse

Ian

Got as much as I realistically expected from the game. Brown has a real job on his hands here.

Daniel

The only difference we saw was that we were worse than under Ball. How are things going to improve if we don't change the formation/tactics?

If Brown is just going to be another puppet controlled from above then he might as well give up now before he throws away his reputation.

Matthew Tedder

It was really concerning that we didn’t even get a shot on goal after that performance I can unfortunately see the club go back down to the conference now

Jeff Coates

Very poor performance and result. Same old formation, same old outcome. However, winless runs don't go on forever and we are bound to pick up some points soon although it's hard to see where at the moment. Fingers and everything else crossed.

Steve Lowe

This is going to be a tough watch until the end of the season honestly can’t see where a win is coming from. Relegation will be a disaster

Mister Blu Sky

Disappointing but not sure how realistic it is to expect much change when it’s the same group of players and the new manager has been in the job for 3 days. Next couple of games will tell us a lot more and will show who’s up for the fight.

Ivars Plucis

I was hoping to see more passion and effort from the team all showing a pride in the shirt. I know Brown has had only 48 hours to instill this into the team. So I give him the benefit of doubt in this game. I would like to see a vast improvement on Tuesday.

Harry

Was always going to be a tough game but was expecting a reaction now that Wayne Brown came in but it ended up being our worst performance of the season, players aren’t fit to wear the shirt, relegation looming

Leo Reid

Better intensity + playing higher up the pitch, useless chance creation and poor quality in the final 3rd. Sloppy keeping an issue we need to address. That all being said, I think we will stay up with Brown.

Andy Glenister

The short lived hope Brown brought us of a fresh outlook on things died when the lineups were announced and he showed he had already agreed to the 4-2-3-1 philosophy. Unfortunately, he has sold out already!

Anthony Clachan

Started off well then once they scored the first goal everything went downhill from there it just about sums up our season really

Samuel Shippey

getting worse and worse

Dr Steve Wood

I was at least expecting some passion and pride from the players but was very disappointed. If FGR hadn't gone down to 10 men we would have been thrashed. If our next 3 games were against the teams below us we would lose all 3

Stuart Garrard

I actually thought we played ok in the second half!

Tracey Welsh

Replace the head coach and 3 directors with one manager. Be much cheaper - one wage instead of four - and more efficient. Need to arrest the decline before it is too late. Each game more disappointing than the last.

Chris Ruggles

I am now more worried than ever after that performance. I thought we would at least see an improvement with the new manager 'bounce', but we seemed to play worse than ever. We just need a win, to lift confidence, and then we might win 2 or 3 on the bounce and pull away.

Michael

Gutless, inept, not fit enough to wear the shirts, and that’s the clean version.

Simon Humphrey

No passion. No leaders. No fight. Players gutless and leaderless.

Sean

The director of football and performance need to let the manager manage, as I believe they are the problem. It’s a shame they don’t come out and explain the football direction to the media and fans instead of the players and managers taking the criticism.

Tom Flint

The players look tired of the enforced system and its inefficiency! I keep saying it, the set up is failing and those making the decisions need to be looked at. Cowling relies on Humes etc to progress the club and we’ve slowly been going backwards for years! Time for BIG changes!

Marshall

Very very poor 2-0 down against 10 men and still playing in are own half.jevani brown just looks hopeless and we still bring him on.nouble looks isolated up front and harriots attitude is just appalling considering he was playing to half championship football

Matt Webb

Why would a new manager come in and play the same formation that has not worked? Proves Head Coach is not calling the shots. Hopefully Brown can stamp his authority and sort the U's out!! Up the U's!

Sean

Issues at the club run deep and I’m not sure anything will actually change no matter who is head coach.

Michael O'Brien

Feel sorry for WB as he has been given a hospital pass. Hamstrung by a failed system and players either not good enough, lacking motivation or both. Cowling’s move not to give Prosser a new contract not looking too clever now and letting Norris go in January also questionable.
