Former Colchester United midfielder Kevin Watson has been appointed as Billericay Town's new manager.
Watson, most recently in charge at National League side Ebbsfleet United, has taken over from Jamie O'Hara in the hot seat at the National League South club.
Watson, who made more than 100 appearances for the U's, was a key figure in the side that won promotion to the Championship in 2006.

Writing on his Twitter feed, the former Spurs midfielder said: "Just want to say a big thank you to the @BTFC board for choosing me to be the clubs new manager. I can assure all the supporters that we will work as hard as we can to make this season as successful as we can. Watson beat off stiff competition to land the role at the South Essex club, who currently lie 17th in the table.
"On completion of a thorough selection process, involving circa 50 candidates, BTFC have pleasure in announcing that Kevin Watson has been appointed as our men’s first team manager with immediate effect," said the statement.
"Kevin brings a wealth of playing, coaching and managerial experience to the club. He shares our one club vision and the board’s ambitions for Billericay Town FC.
"Kevin will be joined by Tristan Lewis as assistant manager."
Watson, an A Licence coach, helped Colchester finish tenth in their first season in the Championship.
He was released at the end of the 2007-08 season and signed on a free transfer for Luton Town.
