TODAY is the one-year anniversary of Colchester United's stunning penalty shoot-out win over Premier League side Spurs.
The U's caused a huge shock in the Carabao Cup third-round tie at the JobServe Community Stadium after beating Tottenham on September 24, 2019.
John McGreal's side produced a magnificent performance to hold Spurs to a 0-0 draw over 90 minutes.
And Tom Lapslie hit the winning penalty as Colchester prevailed 4-3 on spot-kicks, to cause a big surprise and dump Tottenham out of the cup in front of a crowd of nearly 9,500.
The Gazette takes a pictorial look back on that special night, one year on.
