FRANK Nouble has signed for Plymouth Argyle following his departure from Colchester United.

The 28-year-old has linked up with the Pilgrims, who were promoted from League Two last season, following the expiry of his contract at the U's.

Nouble scored five goals and contributed six assists in his 38 appearances for Colchester, last season.

In total, he made 92 league and cup appearances for the U's since joining them from League Two rivals Newport County in July, 2018.

The former West Ham United youngster scored 14 times, in that time.

The experienced attacker featured in the play-offs for the U's, despite being informed he would not be retained by the club when his contract expired, along with Luke Prosser, Ryan Jackson and Brandon Comley.

After suffering defeat in the play-offs at Exeter, he tweeted: 'Lowest I’ve felt in a long time all the best to Exeter in final.

'Enjoyed every minute at club with boys, staff and fans bar today obviously coming just short.

'Too many unreal moments to forget tough pill to swallow this!'

Nouble is Plymouth's third summer signing, as boss Ryan Lowe plans for their new season in League One.
