BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT put another point on the board after drawing 0-0 at home to Potters Bar Town.

The sides met in a BetVictor Isthmian League premier division contest at the Taydal Stadium.

But Kem Izzet's Regent can be proud to have stretched their run to just one defeat in six games.

In division north, MALDON AND TIPTREE flexed their muscles with a 6-2 victory against Felixstowe and Walton United.

Two-up at half-time, their scorers were Jorome Slew (two), Ryan Charles, Charlee Hughes and Hamza Kaid.

The Jammers’ second came from an own goal by Samuel Nunn.

Maldon are third, two places and two points behind leaders HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS, who won 2-0 at Soham Town Rangers.

COGGESHALL TOWN came from behind, scoring two late goals, to win 2-1 at home Cambridge City.

WITHAM TOWN lost 1-0 at home to Great Wakering Rovers.

Regent make the long trip to the Sussex coast to play Bognor Regis Town on Tuesday.

It’s also a busy week of division north action, with Swifts hosting Hullbridge Sports and Maldon, Coggeshall and Witham visiting Canvey Island, Felixstowe and Romford respectively.

BRAINTREE TOWN had to be content with a point after being pegged back and drawing 1-1 in their Vanarama National League South contest at home to Weymouth.

Liam Smyth put them in the ascendancy early in the second half.

However, their Dorset visitors levelled nine minutes from time through Yemi Odubade.

Over in the Thurlow Nunn League premier division, FC CLACTON boss Tom Austin was taking charge of his 100th game as Seasiders manager and saw his side draw 0-0 at home to Wroxham.

STANWAY ROVERS proved too strong for visiting Gorleston, romping to an impressive 4-0 victory at The Hawthorns thanks to two goals apiece from Jamie Shaw and Tom Blackwell, while BRANTHAM ATHLETIC defeated Newmarket Town 2-0.

Player-manager Michael Brothers put them ahead before a second from debutant Josh Lee.

In division one south, the top two met as LITTLE OAKLEY, in second, made the trip to leaders White Ensign.

It was the hosts who prevailed 4-2.

The Acorns goals came from Harry Harvey, an own goal and Harry Windred.

Neighbours HARWICH AND PARKESTON ran out 3-0 winners at home to Hackney Wick, thanks to two goals from Sean Bartlett.
