IPSWICH Town's winless streak continued after a goal-laden 5-3 defeat at Lincoln City.

The Blues were always playing catch-up in the League One contest at Sincil Bank, with their consolation strikes coming from Luke Garbutt, an own goal and Will Keane.

Paul Lambert's out-of-sorts side have now lost three of their last four games, with their winless league run stretching to seven.

The last time they tasted victory was nearly two months ago, on November 5.

And as a result of their poor form, they are now down to fourth in the table, with a trip to leaders Wycombe Wanderers, who lost 4-1 at home to Coventry City, to follow on New Year's Day.

Lambert made three changes from the team that drew 0-0 with Gillingham on Boxing Day, with Andre Dozzell and Flynn Downes returning to the midfield and skipper Luke Chambers at the back.

However, it proved another difficult afternoon as Harry Anderson put the Imps ahead on six minutes.

Garbutt levelled with one of his trademark free-kicks before Tyler Walker restored the home side’s lead in first-half injury time.

A Harry Toffolo own goal restored parity just before the hour-mark before Walker’s second made it 3-2.

Michael Bostwick soon added a fourth.

Will Keane pulled one back for the Blues four minutes later but Jake Hesketh cemented the Imps’ win in injury time.
