COLCHESTER United winger Callum Harriott was among the scorers as his Guyana side enjoyed CONCACAF Nations League success.

The 25-year-old was in the starting line-up alongside former U's full-back Matt Briggs as their side defeated Aruba 4-2.

Aruba took an early lead before Briggs grabbed a quick equaliser.

Aruba then went back in front but Harriott smashed in an equaliser, capitalising on a defensive mistake before rifling into the bottom corner to make it 2-2.

Guyana scored twice more in the second half and now travel to group leaders Jamaica on Tuesday.

Brandon Comley and his Monserrat team-mates played away at El Salvador in the same competition as Guyana.

Comley also started the game, against the group leaders, and stayed on to play the full 90 minutes.

It was a game that finished in disappointment for the U’s midfielder, as it finished 1-0 to El Salvador, with their goal coming in the 91st minute.

Monserrat will now travel to Saint Lucia for the final game of the group and need to avoid defeat to ensure they are not relegated into League C.

Colchester team-mate Luke Gambin was also on international duty, for Malta.

He and his team-mates had a tough Euro 2020 qualifier in Spain, eventually losing 7-0.

Gambin was an unused substitute.

Malta travel back to play their final game in the qualifiers, at home against Norway, on Monday night.
