BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent Reserves have appointed a new coach.
Stuart Malseed is joining the Thurlow Nunn League first division south outfit after three years as manager of Long Melford Reserves.
He will work alongside R's reserves boss Lee Clarke and assistant Glen Last.
The trio will look to build on the good work of last season, where the club's conveyor belt of talent saw players graduating into the reserve team from the under-18s.
Some even made the step up into Tom Rothery's Isthmian League side.
Malseed is no stranger to first-team boss Rothery, having played under him at Rowhedge.
He is well known in local football after playing Saturday and Sunday football mainly in the Essex and Suffolk Border League and Colchester and District Sunday League.
He has good contacts in the game so is expected to be a great help and addition to the reserve management team.
