Colchester United claimed a dramatic 1-0 win at Cambridge United, on Saturday afternoon.
Kane Vincent-Young's superb strike deep into stoppage-time secured the U's all three points at the Abbey Stadium and helped them end a three-match losing run.
The result sees Colchester move to within a point of the League Two play-off places with six games to go and John McGreal’s men host Oldham Athletic, next weekend.
Here, Colchester United reporter Jonathan Waldron rates the players following a 1-0 win on the road:
DILLON BARNES 7
U’s keeper did not have any real saves to make but looked assured throughout.
RYAN JACKSON 8
Did superbly in the build-up to Vincent-Young’s winner and was an impressive performer.
LUKE PROSSER 7
U’s skipper seemed to grow into the game and made some timely blocks and interceptions.
FRANKIE KENT 8
Seemed to relish his battle with Ibehre and unlucky not to score with a first-half header. Booked.
KANE VINCENT-YOUNG 8
Capped a solid performance with an excellent goal that secured three precious points.
BEN STEVENSON 7
Always had time on the ball and kept things ticking over in the U’s midfield. Booked.
TOM LAPSLIE 7
Still building up his match fitness after injury but you would not know it by his energetic display.
ABO EISA 7
Was arguably Colchester’s biggest threat in the first half and gave the home defence problems.
SAMMIE SZMODICS 8
U’s man of the match. Epitomised his side’s spirit with his hard-working display and unlucky not to score.
COURTNEY SENIOR 7
Gave Carroll a tough time and showed glimpses of his skill but drifted in and out of the game.
LUKE NORRIS 6
Just wasn’t his day in front of goal. Missed two excellent chances before being replaced.
