Colchester United have boosted their squad this evening with the capture of winger Abo Eisa.

The attacker has signed on loan from League One side Shrewsbury Town until the end of the season.

Eisa tweeted: 'Very excited to have joined! @ColU_Official see you all soon'

Eisa has been at Shrewsbury since January, 2018 when he signed from non-league Wealdstone.

The 23-year-old scored 14 goals in 24 games for the non-league side, whom he joined in the summer of 2017 from Uxbridge.

Eisa, who has also played for non-league side St Albans City, has boosted the U's squad ahead of this Thursday's deadline.

He has made eight appearances for Shrewsbury, this season.

U's Director of Football Tony Humes told the club's website: "Abo was a player we watched closely and were keen to sign and although we lost out to Shrewsbury for his signing last year, we have kept an eye on him.

"He is a talented young player, and I'm sure that he will be a useful addition to the club for the next few months."
