BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT and BRAINTREE TOWN have been handed away draws in the first round of the FA Trophy.

Tom Rothery’s R’s will visit holders Brackley Town – if they get past Hayes and Yeading in tomorrow’s third qualifying round replay at the Taydal Stadium.

The sides drew 0-0 in their first meeting on Saturday.

Northamptonshire side Brackley play in National League North.

They are just outside the play-off places, on goal difference, and won last year's Trophy after a penalty shoot-out success against Bromley.

National League side Braintree, meanwhile, enter the competition at this stage and have been handed a trip to Salisbury.

The Southern League side are managed by well-known former Football League player-turned-pundit Steve Claridge.

They currently sit third in the premier south division.

The ties will take place on Saturday, December 15 and the prize money for winning is £6,000.
