COLCHESTER United head coach John McGreal says midfielder Brandon Comley was “as high as a kite” after returning to the club following a spell on international duty with Montserrat.
The 23-year-old helped his country to a 2-0 victory against Aruba, in their latest CONCACAF Nations League qualifier.
However, he arrived back in Essex this week and is available for Saturday's League Two date at home to Exeter City.
“Brandon was jet-lagged in the early part of the week but since then he’s been able to train fully," said McGreal.
“It’s a bit unsettling for him in terms of the travelling but if you could see him when he came back, he was as high as a kite.
“Montserrat won 2-0, they’re in a strong position to go through from their group and I think their next game isn’t until March.
“Brandon’s delighted and he’s come back and trained really well."
