CANNONS Basketball Club warmed up for the new Suffolk League season with a thrilling friendly against Trailblazers.
The result was in doubt until the very end, with the Trailblazers eventually hanging on for a 69-66 victory.
However, the Clacton-based Cannons had led the first, second and third quarters 28-15, 43-32 and 57-54 respectively.
The match was played on Friday night and the Cannons had four new players playing their first game at Clacton Leisure Centre.
