SURROUNDED by cameras filming for the internet, Harwich were just unable to come home with the point their performance deserved.
They started well and took the lead in the fourth minute when Sean Gunn set up the oncoming Joe Knight, who drove the ball home from the edge of the penalty box.
The Shrimpers dominated the early stages, with chances failing to Shaun Mathurin and Gunn, which they just failed to convert.
Hashtag came back with Harry Honesty missing a chance and then Ryan Adams' deflected shot was saved by keeper Sam Felgate.
Harwich should have had a penalty when Jordan Heath was pulled down but their strong claims were dismissed.
In the 37th minute, Harwich defended poorly and Neil Richmond equalised at the near post.
A minute before half-time, Gunn's shot hit the crossbar as Harwich strove to get ahead.
Sloppy defending cost Harwich again in the 49th minute with Richmond taking advantage to put Hashtag into the lead.
Midway through the half, a poor goal-kick was pounced on by Honesty to increase Hashtag's lead to 3-1.
Harwich brought on their three substitutes and there were opportunities for Luke Barnard and Gunn.
In the closing minutes, Heath pulled a goal back for Harwich but they could not find an equaliser in the time remaining.
Harwich have no game on Saturday but their reserves are at home to Tiptree Engaine Reserves at the Royal Oak (kick-off 3pm).

AFTER only five minutes, Konner Oughton gave Harwich the lead when he burst through.
Seven minutes later, Oughton netted again, shooting into the corner of the net. Oughton was being well supplied with the ball by his team-mates and, with his pace too much for the Oyster defence, he had netted twice more by the 22nd minute.
Oyster came back just before half-time and Harwich goalkeeper Kane Eles made an acrobatic save to turn the ball over the crossbar.
In the second half, Oyster put in a late challenge in an effort to snatch a point, scoring twice.
This was Harwich's reserves' first win of the season and manager Gavin Hewitt was delighted with the Shrimpers' first-half performance but wanted to see this maintained over 90 minutes.
