COLCHESTER race walker Dominic King is aiming to make it a magnificent hat-trick of gold medals at the World Masters Athletics Championships, in Spain.

King has already won his M35 5,000m walk and 10km walk at the international event, in Malaga.

And tomorrow night, the double Olympian will aim to secure a third victory when he takes part in the M35-64 20km walk.

King also secured the bronze team medal in the 10km with his brother Daniel King, who also won a bronze individual in the 10km walk.

King clocked 21:36.61 in his 5,000m walk, to win by more than half a minute.

He also won the 10km walk, in a time of 44:40 with brother Daniel fourth (46:42).

It is the first time the Colchester Harriers member has taken part in the World Masters Athletics Championships.

The event sees around 8,200 participants from more than 100 nations competing across all ages, ranging from 35 through to 101 years old.
