BRAINTREE TOWN snatched a last-gasp equaliser in tonight's National League contest at home to Hartlepool United.

The sides drew 1-1 at the Ironmongery Direct Stadium after Mohamed Bettamer popped up with a 90th-minute leveller for the Iron.

Niko Muir had netted midway through the first half to put Hartlepool ahead.

Elsewhere, in the Bostik League premier division, BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Haringey Borough.

Joel Nouble slotted home a first-half penalty before Chinedu McKenzie doubled the visitors' lead in the 62nd minute.

FC CLACTON had been due to play Kirkley and Pakefield in an FA Cup extra preliminary round replay at Holland FC's W&S Scaffolding Community Stadium.

The tie was moved to a different venue because of ongoing pitch problems at the Rush Green Bowl.

However, the referee deemed tonight's pitch unplayable and the tie was postponed.
