LEE Fisher has been appointed as the new manager of Stanway Rovers.

He replaces Colchester United legend Kem Izzet, who parted company with the Essex Senior League outfit on Friday.

Fisher has joined from Braintree Town Reserves, after a successful season in division one of the Thurlow Nunn League.

He will be joined at The Hawthorns by Paul Nicholson and Kevin Wren.

Stanway finished eighth in the Thurlow Nunn League premier division last season but are now preparing for life in a new division, having been moved sideways by the FA into the Essex Senior League.
