COLCHESTER Town Ladies under-12 Hawks squad are celebrating after winning the Futsol competition at the University of Essex.
The team will now progress to play other county teams in a future competition, following their triumph.
From the points gained in the group games. they went on to win the trophy and so progressed to play against teams from other counties.
They won their games against Eagles (5-1), Braintree (2-0), Brisil (2-0), Eagles (6-0) and Braintree (4-2) and also drew 0-0 with Brisil.
Lila James top scored for Town with nine goals, followed by Keira Berry (six) and Ella Martin (four).
Town squad: Ella Martin, Keira Berry, Lila James, Leah Pope, Connie Madley, Akeila Robinson.
Town's under-tens were runners-up, in their competition.
