COLCHESTER and District Fencing Club members claimed a big medal haul at the Essex County Junior Championships.
All but one of the club's competitors secured a medal, with three of them earning international call-ups.
Eryn Rance was the only female Colchester and District Fencing Club (CADS) member to compete, with her sterling performance earning her silver in the under-12 girls' Foil.
Rory Maloney put up a great fight to earn silver in the under-ten boys' Foil while Joshua Ellsworth was sixth, in the under-12 equivalent.
Tudor Iordache took the bronze while Eurig Colville was in stunning form to win gold.
In the under-14 boys' foil, CADS took three of the four medals on offer.
Some great fencing from Joseph Rance and Alexander Brincklow earned them bronze medals, while Rory Myatt won silver.
In the under-14 boys' Epee, an all-CADS final resulted in defeat and a silver medal for Peter Calatayud, after club-mate Sam Colston took gold.
There was another CADS final in the under-12 boys' Sabre where Jan Calatayud put up a good fight but Oscar Brincklow emerged champion.
Colville has now been selected for the under-13 boys' Foil England squad while his club-mate Alexander Brincklow has been selected for the under-15 boys' Foil England squad.
The duo will fence in Poland, later this year.
Myles Ashforth has also been selected for international duty as part of the Great Britain under-17 Epee squad, fencing in Denmark.
